Role Overview

We’re hiring a Partnerships Associate to manage a portfolio of merchant and agency partners within our U.S. Partnerships team. This is a client-facing account management role where you’ll build strong partner relationships, understand merchant objectives, and grow performance through optimizations, negotiations, and clear recommendations backed by data.

Full training is provided - You’ll join a small, collaborative team where you’ll learn quickly through real ownership.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage partner relationships: Be the day-to-day contact for your merchants; maintain consistent outreach and build trust through transparency and follow-through.
  • Understand merchant objectives: Learn what partners care about and translate that into strategies using TopCashback’s media, rate, and placement offerings.
  • Develop optimization plans: Create practical plans to improve performance across rates, placements, and promotions; iterate based on results.
  • Build a pipeline + contribute to forecasting: Keep an accurate view of opportunities, next steps, expected value, and likelihood to close.
  • Negotiate commercial opportunities: Support and lead conversations around cashback rates, budgets, and placements.
  • Monitor overall account health: Track both investment and organic performance; spot risks and opportunities early.
  • Analyze + recommend: Use performance data to make clear recommendations internally and externally.
  • Handle program issues + escalations: Own partner questions/issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them.

  • Data-literate: Comfortable with spreadsheets, percentages, and basic analysis (you can do math without sweating).
  • Trustworthy + self-directed: Able to work unsupervised, keep your own cadence, and do what you said you’d do.

  • Commercially minded: You like outcomes and know relationships should drive growth.
  • Strong communicator: Clear, professional, and confident with partners.

Desirable 

  • Experience within a client facing role: experience gained can be as part of an internship, part time or fulltime role

In the first 6–12 months, you will:

  • Proactively identify and action optimisation opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships that lead to repeat investment
  • Progress towards handling larger or more complex accounts
  • This role is intended as a development position with a clear progression pathway as experience and performance grow.
